Re: 1958 Chevy Roadmaster
I used 1992 RM sedan chassis, with the tbi 350, I know there are better choices for donors the later model has better engine, but I got a deal on this one with less than 80k on the odometer, for what I'm going to use it for this seems to be plenty. I'm pretty happy so far...

Re: 1958 Chevy Roadmaster
moving on, Road test was AWESOME!!!
Got the grill in, and headlight bezels , both in black, and along with the '58 fleetside emblems in black. I bought a new stock mirror arm, shortened it by two inches, repressed mirror mounting pad and painted it body color. Got the Dakota digital dash installed mostly working. ha ha... got the rhino liner in the bed, and the 2011 Tahoe third row seat installed

Re: 1958 Chevy Roadmaster
Well got about a hundred miles on it, got the one piece glass in, and doors are complete with gaskets, handles , new latches, and manual regulators. got to go get fuel, and I'm pretty happy with fueling in the bed with gate down. got a head light switch from an older Cadillac with twilight sentinel. got a few bugs to work out, but believe I can get it to work. Awesome to finally drive legally down the road. Just need inspection.

Re: 1958 Chevy Roadmaster
I can'tbelieve it's been so long, I have 15,000 miles on my truck since my last post. My son hit a deer in his little audi, and needed wheels til we got his car back on the road. so he put 2/3 of the miles, but I got a hard cover for the bed, I got cruise control working today. This truck rides like a dream.
