Score!
I had been looking for some old school slots and came across an add for "steel 16.5" rims $25" 4 rims for $25! When I went to get them they were aluminum slots painted black. I will need new lug nuts since I currently have the acorn 60 degree ones.

Re: Score!
Only way to beat that price would be free! What's the plan, repaint, take 'em back to aluminum, or...... ?

Re: Score!
Nice! I dig those old slots. They're getting harder to find anymore.

Re: Score!
I am going to take them back to aluminum and mount the 36" swampers on my k5 on them. The slots on my K5 are 8.25" wide and the i think the tires would look better on the 9.75" wide rims. I have never run the "shank" style lug nuts, anything to look out for?

Re: Score!
Scrap aluminum as far as I'm concerned. Better make sure to keep at least 50 psi or more in them to prevent the bead from coming off. Happened to me 2 times before I realized I had a very slow leak. Once when it was raining and another in the snow
