Other mirrors that use same holes as sports mirrors

Ok, I've spent the day searching through the archives to see if there are other mirrors that use the same mounting holes as the 71-72 sports mirrors. I don't want to add more holes to my doors. I currently have some large west coast style mirrors but it originally had sports mirrors and want to move to something like that. I would like to look at some other options that are a little cheaper than sports mirrors but only if they use the original mounting holes. Options? Or do I just need to bite the bullet and shell out the $ for the sports mirrors.

Thanks!

You're gonna have to bite the bullet. I haven't seen any other mirror that will use the same holes.

I'm afraid you are probably right. I've driven either a 69 CST or the 71 C10 since 1983 and I think I liked it better when they weren't so popular and cheaper to work on!

While in some ways it is now easier to find the parts, I remember being able to go to the dealership parts counter and getting whatever I wanted.

Oh, I'm starting to sound like my dad....

You will end up with the same problem that I will have: Having to plug the holes that were put into the doors for the big mirrors. Hope you end up being "at peace" with the expensive mirrors and hole repair issue. I'm still coming to terms with it.

I kept searching ebay and I got a set of use sport mirrors for my truck for $20.00 I already had the brackets, they were laying in the bottom of my doors.
