Send cab to the crusher?
Well I started my 69 SWB a little over a month ago. I knew going in I was going to need new doors and a couple of floor patches. Once I had the truck apart I discovered just how bad the inner cowl was. I had started the tear down of the cowl a couple of weeks ago and was going to order the parts I needed for repair when I stumbled upon a cab and door on craigslist. It was to good of deal to turn down. It was a 4 hour drive one way but I picked up a rust free cab and doors for $300.
I hate to send the cab to the scrap yard if anyone local could use it. The cowl, firewall, and kick panels are in bad shape. However the roof is in great shape inside and out. Does anyone have any use for the cab? Its free if someone wants it. I am in Southwest Missouri near Branson. |

Re: Send cab to the crusher?
Yep
I was just talking to one of buddies. He gave me a good idea. I think I am going to keep it and put the doors back on it. I have an old boat trailer he suggested we mount the cab to and make a portable deer blind out of it. If that isn't hillbilly I don't know what is. |

Don't we have an emoticon for "This Thread is Worthless without Picture"? Last edited by 70cst; 11-29-2016 at 06:55 PM. |
