71/72 gas pedal conversion

Been out of the game a little too long and looking for any new options on converting the gas pedal to the 71/72 style with a cable. I used LFD's conversion in the past but doesnt look like he's making those any more. Any suggestions?

Not exactly a NEW option, but I used this thread for inspiration when I did mine:

Looks easy enough when you start with the right parts. I didn't have a 71-72 pedal, so I used one from a 93 Yukon. May as well have fabbed one from scratch with all the mods it needed to work...

Re: 71/72 gas pedal conversion

not really easy but it worked out great, i cut out the firewall around the mounting area on a 72 pickup and traced around it on the firewall of my 69 suburban, cut the hole in the sub a tiny bit smaller, finished it with a die grinder and welded in the section from the 72. cleaned up my welds, primed and painted it to match and it looks original. BUT i did it with the front clip off and the motor/transmission out and the interior was gutted.

I followed this thread also when I converted my 69 Burb and it works great!

Re: 71/72 gas pedal conversion

Some good help. I was hoping someone has cone up with a bolt on kit but not yet I guess. LFD did message me and he is not making them at this time. His was pretty slick I remember.
