Re: Long tube headers

You running angled or straight plug heads? I've had pretty good results with Hedman 69260.

Re: Long tube headers

I have Hooker super competition full length headers that are coated. They fit nice, however I wouldn't say plug changes are super easy. Some plugs take a wrench and you have to be almost double jointed...

Re: Long tube headers

The Hedmann 69260's are designed specifically for the '55-'66 trucks and changing plugs is as easy as it is going to get with headers. And they will work with angle plug heads too.

Re: Long tube headers

Rookie question: the 327 and 350 use the same headers?

I feel the answer is yes, but would rather hear it from someone that KNOWS

Yes sir they are you can put 283 heads on a 350 all things small block are bolt on friendly. Accept you cant put big valve heads on a 283 without special machining to clear the block 327 if i recall right is the same as a 350 but a different stroke and jernal size . Smaller bore too but all things bolt right on
