Re: brake line routing question
It runs across the back of the front crossmember to inside the right frame rail.

Re: brake line routing question
Yup it's all coming together now. This rig was "rigged"when I got it. Lol. Now I have to toss a coin on pre Bent or do the lines myself.

Re: brake line routing question
And the line is 1/4 inch if you do it yourself try the ni-cop line it is nice to work with and won't ever rust very easy to bend and form

Re: brake line routing question
FWIW, I just did lines on a 71 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4. I use Inline Tube lines. The front lines fit OK, they were not exact replications of the OE lines (may or may not matter to you) The rear brake lines form the front of the pass frame rail back were so far off I ended up making my own. Especially the rear axle lines - no possible way to make them fit. But, the lines are beautifully made even if they don't fit!

Re: brake line routing question
New lines from the auto stores are cheap.
My opinion is even if you buy a bender and a flare tool and lines you can still come in under the price of inline's prices. Of course not greatest quality tools but usefull for a few jobs. Nicop lines are nice. I don't have much experience with it but the few times I have used it I kinked some and had some flares crack. I thought that was strange since it seems softer. Maybe it was just me. Also I haven't seen the difference of the longengevity of nicop compared too the steel lines. My opinion is the steel lines are ok but certainly don't last like oe lines. One problem with making your own lines is the fittings. I try not too use the fittings that comes on the lines"they are cheap". I save all good shape oe fittings and clean them up for reuse Takes a lil' longer but way better material and they will be correct. I only do this on my personal rides as time is $. Obviously stainless is the way too go but very pricey. I would be highly upset if I paid for their stainless kit and they didn't fit correctly. I actually enjoy running new lines making nice bends and fitting everything just right is a challenge I like.
