Holes along front edge of doors

I'm in the process of weather proofing my truck and noticed several holes along the inner front/top edge of my doors. Hard to explain but the first hole is at the top forward corner above the wind wing and the others follow the forward facing edge. They look like screw holes that might be for the wind wings but I don't recall there being any screws required along this portion. Shouldn't these be sealed? It seems like water traveling down the front edge of the door would easily drain right back into the door.

If they are indeed screw holes, does anyone know what size thread?

Re: Holes along front edge of doors

There should be two screws on that section for the vent window. There were stainless sheet metal screw about 5/8 long.

Re: Holes along front edge of doors

Thanks Jimmy I'll try to track some down. I wasn't sure if screws actually went there or if the holes were used just to locate/center the vent during installation. Its hard to tell if they are machine threads or use a sheet metal screw. Time to visit the old box of misfit nuts and bolts.

Re: Holes along front edge of doors

They are flat head #6 screws I think.
