250 T5 clutch question (again)
Getting closer to doing the T5 swap. But have a couple of questions:
The T5 is out of a V8 Camaro, that came with a 26 spline 10.4 inch clutch. Should i just get the clutch kit for the Camaro? Will the clutch bolt up to the flywheel that is on my truck? It has a 168 tooth flywheel now. Will the 10.4 clutch be ok? or should I look for an 11" 26 spline? If the flywheel needs to be replaced what flywheel should I use since I believe the 250 came with a 153 tooth flywheel. Would a V8 flywheel work? I have not taken anything off of it yet,and want to get what I need before I start. Thanks in advance.

Quote:
If you use your original cast iron bell then you want the 168 tooth flywheel. The third generation Camaro used a different bell and a 153 tooth flywheel, but you don't really want that. I used an 26 spline 11" clutch package. For the price, you might consider buying a new flywheel from Rockauto. The price is nearly the same as having the old one resurfaced. Mine resurfaced was $60. The 26 spline 11" clutch package for a 1976 K10 with 400ci engine on Rockauto is dirt cheap too. I am interested in all things T5 related. Please tell me what you plan to do for shifter position and speedo connection. I'm here to help if I can.
