FS GMC fenders
Hello...found a nice chevy front clip, so the GMC fenders are going, I also have 67/68 grill and a GMC rad support(haven't picked them up yet)......would like $75 each for the fenders. Could use a nice 71/72 grill assembly, maybe trade...Troy

That'd be great man! Are we talking about a 67/68 rad support by the way?

The grille is a 67/68 chevy, the rad support is a GMC.....the other GMC grille I have is trashed, I may have some headlight trim rings, I'll look at some of the stuff I have......only been home about 2 weeks and trying to see what I bought while I was gone......Thanks Troy

I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but whoever owned my P/U before I got it, actually got rid of the dual headlights, put in a '69 chevy rad support and a chevy grill?! So.......

When I got it, it had the GMC hood, complete with letters and everything and then this beat up chrome Chevrolet Grill, again, complete with letters and everything. Of course, then there's the fenders. The driver's side was a '67 (no reflector) and then they apparently kept the '71 fender for the passenger side and tried their hand at shaving the reflector?! So now that I'm completely tearing her down, I thought I'd just go ahead and TRY to make everything a '67 chevy front end.......
Talk about fun

All I can tell is that they both appear to be exactly alike, even though the one side is a '67 and the other is newer. I thought that the GMC and Chevy's were the same as far as the fenders go?!

67/68 fenders are the same as 67-72 GMC, 69-72 chevy fenders the same.....minor differences on grill cuts in the front fender

Yeah, I figure it would be easier for me to just convert the whole front end over to the '67. I really like the clean look of those fenders without the reflectors. And since the previous owner also appears to have redone the wiring, at least as far as the headlights go, I might as well stay with the single headlights too. Plus after looking all over the place, I like the idea of having just the chevy outer grille and then I'll come up with a nice custom inner grill. But then I'm told that I'll also have to replace the radiator support if I go with the '67.
Man, I'm starting to confuse myself now! I was looking at my replies to you guys earlier. Sorry about that. I said I also needed the GMC grille, my mistake. Anyway, what I'm trying to come up with is a '67 rad support, both front fenders for a '67, a '67 outer grill and I hope to get a '67 cowl induction hood to top it all off, all chevy of course. I've made a deal with my brother-in-law and will be getting his 1997 chevy stepside bed, I've been finding some awesome pics of these setups. It's amazing, the lines of these newer beds line up perfectly with the lines of the old cabs! With all that being said, I've got a GMC Hood, the (2) fenders I was speaking about, a nice rad support ('69 and already stripped and primed), an old set of headers from the old 350, and a pretty decent complete '71 stepside bed that I'll be trying to put on here as soon as I can get the pics. |

I'll see if I can stumble across a 67/68 chevy rad support....the fenders you have would be correct for a 67(if I read what you wrote correctly) all you'd have to do is change out the support and bolt in the grille/hood latch...........gotta go, have somethings to get done today...........Troy
