I believe I saw one in an old truck in MT once. I thought it was homemade until I found the accessory manual years later.

My 54 had one. It was mounted to the floor in front of seat frame.

Check out
My 1959 apache project by tpimuncie. He found one and it is the first one I've seen in a truck. I must add that his truck is one of my favourites in this forum. Go to post 1184.
