fibreglass work

has anybody built a custom sub box or console out of fibreglass, I need some info on this process. Tried to look on the net but no luck on what I want.

Try web searches under boating headings. You'll get loads of fiberglass work there. The techniques are the same.

Also try BoaterEd. I've been a member there longer than any other forum. There's a forum for Marine Fabrication and Detailing. You'll find similar topics there.

I actually just found a forum dedicated to fibreglass audio, I would still like to hear some other suggestions or past experiences.

The site for the forum is www.fibreglast.com if anyone is interested. it looks pretty new so there are a few bugs.

i havent looked much into it, but i have headr that a wood box yields the best sound. but then again that could be someones opinion also.

all the boxes are made out of an MDF base, it's just the fibreglass that gives everything the nice contours and smooth lines.
