Alignment vs tire wear?

My 1998 is lowered with 2" spindles and 3" springs up front. I've always run factory alignment specs, and the tires aired up to the max on the sidewall [usually in the 50psi range when truck called for 35 on sticker] and yet I still wear the edges out with the centers like new. Wears evenly on both sides like this. Any alignment tricks I can do to help with the wear?

You're wearing out both the inner and outer edges before the center, or just the inner OR outer edges before the center? Can you post your current alignment printout?

I target the opposite of camber specs set by GM (if they say the camber range is .5 POS; I do .5 NEG). Tire wear is still within range & NEG camber helps keep the tires planted.

Adjust for the most Caster possible w/the NEG camber.

Wearing inside & outside edges sounds like Toe is not set right.

if its on both edges of the tire I'd say its more of a toe issue. if you run a little more positive on your toe it might help take up slight play in the linkage as you're driving. if i remember right spec is -5 to +15 on those trucks, so id probably set it to +7ish

caster causes no tire wear, camber would have to be extreme to show wear. most all wear, from misalignment, is toe. but toe will not wear both edges and leave the center alone.

rub your hand across the tire and see if you can feel a directional wear.
if there is a wear edge toward the outside it is toed too much out (you would feel that running your hand from the outside to the inside), if to the inside too much toe in

if you feel no wear edge then your issue is either driving habits or some tires just wear oddly. many times i have seen one or two treads wear badly while the others were fine - and it was never an alignment issue.

Both inner and outer. I don't keep the spec printouts usually just the receipt.
Truck has been this way for 100,000 miles now. Its had BFG's, Nitto's, Michelin's, and kumho's all do the same thing, and it's been aligned by at least 3 different shops. Front end has had basically everything replaced over that time and is in excellent condition. It drives great, just wears out my tires quickly. I have some ideas to try now, thanks guys!
