Yah, about a year ago I clean up the frame and painted it myself in my garage. I was not impressed with the out come. I decided that since I was putting alot of $$ in other things, why not do everything properly. My wife wasn't upset when I told her I was thinking of powder coating the frame. She actually expected me to do it. She's great.
