67 c10 wheel questions. -plz help.

Hello,
I recently purchased my 67 c10, and i like it alot,
But i'm wanting wider tires on the back.
The problem i'm having is that i want to find the same style rims for the back, only deeper, and i cant seems to locate any.
They seem to be just stock wheels,
and normally i would just buy a whole new set,
But i just found baby moon hubcaps, and beauty rings that fit the rims that are on there, and so i would need the new wider wheels to fit the hubcaps, and rings too. does that make sense? lol
Any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm sure they make them, i think im just not looking in the right places.

These are what the rims look like without the caps.

I saw this truck on the web not long ago. Just can't remember where... maybe here. Anyway, that doesn't help your situation.

I don't know of any places to look, but how wide are you wanting to go? Can you fit a wider tire on the stock rim? I know it won't be much, but it may be enough to appear wider.

Re: 67 c10 wheel questions. -plz help.

I see 'em. Looks like you just have regular old 15x6 truck steelies on there now. There are a lot of guys (including myself) running widened 15x6 steelies (see pic below of my truck). Mine have been banded 2" to the outside (maintaining stock backspace) making them 8" wide.

There are also OEM 8" wide 6 lug wheels that you can sometimes find here in the classifieds, but you're going to have to fork over some good $ and most likely buy all four.

Here is a thread started by one member exclaiming his joy in finding a pair of OEM 15x8s.

Here's an old ad for 15x8s (already sold) but there are some good reference photos in there.

Re: 67 c10 wheel questions. -plz help.

wheelvintiques.com has a good selection! thanks! i haven't heard much about "banded" wheels, but it seems like alot less work to order them new, or find them used. can you guys post a few pictures of your wider tires on the truck, so i can get an idea of what the different sizes look like our our trucks? my first instinct is to go with the 15x10 on the rear, and keep the stock wheels up front. but i wouldnt mind seeing what the 15x12s look like too.

Re: 67 c10 wheel questions. -plz help.

i can get some pics of the wheel and tires, but not on the truck, its a frame on jack stands currently. waiting to get it blasted so i can start reassembly. i only went 12s to fit my slicks on, i run 15x10's for my street tires, a lot cheaper and more readily available.
