'77 2wd k5 -"48"
Decided to make a thread about this 77 i picked at the end of April named "48" by my son. Nothing set in stone on this project, random thoughts come about and i try to get it accomplished.
A little about the k5. Well it was a one owner blazer and somewhere along the lines the PO dodidn't like the factory blue/white scheme so a Maaco paint job was in order. The interior seats were redone aswell by the PO. Well now to pictures. Came with a dreamcatcher, lol

Re: '77 2wd k5 -"48"
I decided(my pockets actually did) to do something different out back instead of carpet.
Fence planks Used the side panels to make new ones. The olanks needed some charcter so i pulled out the torch and hoped it had enough to burn it all...it did. Yippee no extra trip to the store Here it is all installed before i put the seat back in...REAR CUPHOLDERS!!! Here is an ariel view (me standing on it) of everything back in.

Updated the grille with rattle can and trim.
Also painted the headlight buckets but here is a crappy comparison after.

Re: '77 2wd k5 -"48"
After some issues from sitting over ten years showed its ugly head were replaced (fuel pump, alternator, radiator, wheel bearings, battery,ps pump) throught the recent months it was time to go a little bit lower. This is my daily so i dont want it auper low like Bertha (76).
Found a used set of springs/shocks/shackles that i did some parts trading for. 2 inch springs with the factory lift block removed and a 2inch drop shackle from an OBS(provides about an extra inch from what we gathered) Any who picture time.

Re: '77 2wd k5 -"48"
Just this week I visted my friend and 3 hours later drove it home with a fresh wrap to hold me over.
I seriously need to get a better picture of these two together. I'm enjoying the two tone look. Completely changes the look. Hopefully in a few weeks i can wrap the rest in this blue color that just about matches the original blue that was once on it.

Digging the white. That blue will make it pop for sure. Don't know which one I like better, the red and white or this one.
Nice wheels on the read one...lol...they have been on 3 good squares now...

Re: '77 2wd k5 -"48"
Thanks Karl. It's weird that this one seems to get more thumbs up than the orange one, guess it just has an old school feel that people like more.
Love the wheel's on Berth and they won't ever leave my possession but I do miss my old rallies.

Re: '77 2wd k5 -"48"
Had the AC checked out sometime back, during the blistering 100 degree days. Had a leak so that was fixed and added freon.
If you look closely you can see the Bluetooth head unit that I installed. Left the old radio in factory location just for looks. Any tis on getting colder air/better flow?
