Do 62 and 63 C-10 Body Parts Interchange?

I found some body parts available (doors, front fenders, hood, bedsides and front bed panel) off of a 63 C-10 and was wondering if they would be a direct fit replacement to use on my 62 C-10?

Re: Do 62 and 63 C-10 Body Parts Interchange?

Excellent! Thank you for the input.

I have another question, what modifications would be required to mount the 62 C-10 body on a 63 C-10 frame? I was thinking that perhaps just the cab mount holes might not match and new ones would need to be drilled to match the 63 frame, but not sure if that is correct and what other modifications might be needed as well? I would prefer to use a 63 C-10 frame instead of another 62 frame if not too many modifications would be required as there are so many more suspension options available for the 63 frame. Any input and advice would be appreciated.

Cab= rear bolts line up fronts are wider on 62 BUT can be re-drilled to fit 63 frame .... Bed = 63 frame is narrower then 62 you have to move bed bolts inward and relocate 2 brackets on rear bed sill

One issue you will run into is that the 62 cab will have a hydraulic clutch instead of a z bar setup. But if you plan to use an automatic transmission then this doesn't matter

Thanks for the input. Sounds like it shouldn't be too difficult then to make the frame swap to the 63. I do plan to change to an automatic transmission, but is good to know if end up changing my mind about that difference about the clutch linkage.

Are there any other negatives or things to consider in switching to the 63 frame instead of using another 62 frame? Just want to help insure I won't be making a mistake by doing it from a performance, structural, fitment, etc. aspect.

63-66 frames are much more desirable than the 60-62 for one reason, that being aftermarket parts availability.
