Just got new firestone transforce tires mounted on newly painted wheels for 1966 custom camper my dad and I are restoring.

Those white wheels look nice on that red truck. Are those wheels original color with the red body? The chevy specs say that the wheel color was painted to match the body color, as I understand it. However, on my red 66 c10 , three out of the four wheels were originally painted white. Just wondering if perhaps your truck was painted this way originally.

When we inherited the truck it didn't have the original wheels with it, instead it had some slot mags. From what I understand is if it were a two tone truck it had wheels that matched the main color and if it was a solid color the wheels were black. In my case they were originally red. Have the old family photos to prove it. Were mainly focused on making the truck stock but the wheels we thought would look better white. If you have some white wheels I bet they're off of a different year of truck for mine were.
