Need help deciphering this SPID

I'm looking at purchasing an old 68 c10 and the spid has some options on it I've never heard of, any help would be appreciated. Custom c&c equip, custom appear incl? Any help would be appreciated

Its pretty straight forward. Though is worded like a 67 so it might be an early 68MY build. Without a VIN its hard to say at my end.
Basically both Z61 and Z62 are trim packages, so it is a "Custom".

The only other notable option is the M10 overdrive trans.
Its a 3-speed column shift with an electrically shifted O/D.
While not a bad trans it has issues and Chevy only offered it behind the lower hp engines in C10s. Expect to find an open 4.10 rear.

Thanks Tim, I really appreciate it. Next question, what would the original paint scheme look like? The owner's son swears that the roof was painted white but I don't see any paint divider tabs on the cab. Granted it has been blasted and put in epoxy so it's possible that whoever did the body work cut them off. The paint code on the SPID 4555AD Saddle/Off White sounds like it should be saddle and then white below the trim but this is my first 68 that was a factory two tone.

Also assuming this is the factory interior scheme? The seat looks almost factory but slightly different then the one in the picture, hard to tell if it's been recovered or not

Here is the truck when we pulled it home. The story goes the original owner bought in 1968, he ran a small repair shop out of his garage and worked on an oil company's fleet just down the road from his house. He used it as a grocery getter after he retired and then passed it down to his son once he passed away. His son ran a restoration shop and had big plans to do an AC conversion, big block swap, and do a full custom build. He started stashing NOS parts about 30 years ago to rebuild the truck and saved all the original parts as well. He had a heart attack just recently and his brother decided to sell the truck when settling the estate. Most of the original stuff is nice enough to bolt back on the truck, all the NOS is perfect and still in boxes/wrapping. Our plan is to restore the truck back to exactly the way it was when his dad drove it off the lot from Deal Chevrolet in 68. We are pretty excited to build this one, I will start a build thread once we gain some traction

The 555 defines the colors and scheme. The description is listing the primary then secondary color. Your truck was painted overall 525 Saddle Tan poly/metallic with a 526 Ivory roof in the conventional two-tone pattern.

That medium duty truck brochure picture is very close. However that seat cover is clearly a replacement probably done by a local trimmer. Here is a picture of an original black seat cover. While I am positive I have clear example of the fabric I don't have time to hunt them down this morning in the wilds of my files.

Has done a lot of research in restoring his "grew up in" 68 Suburban and as I recall there are a lot of good, helpful trim pictures in his threads.

that's some nice info for guys trying to find and fit seats from other years and models into our trucks . all the factory measurements right there make your mounts so your seat fits these dims

Well guys the truck is home sweet home in Asheville, I picked up a cheap 350 small block the other day and stripped it down. Step 1 over the winter is to take my time and build a very factory correct small block. I have never done a complete engine build so I am going to strip it down to the block, get it hot tanked and cleaned up, and then start putting it back together.

I am very excited to get this thing going, our plan is by the end of 2017 to have the motor and frame complete, just like it rolled off the factory floor, ready to start work on the sheet metal next winter.

Thanks guys, yea 68bowtie that's the only truck I've seen with the same paint scheme that is a 68 swb fleet truck. I guess most people make them anniversary truck clones so there aren't many still sporting the factory scheme. Either way, that's a cool truck. I wish I had an original looking picture of that truck. This was the closest thing I could find in the thread

I got a little done on the truck this weekend. We picked up a 350 out of a 71 c10 that needs a complete rebuild so I stripped it down to the block and got it ready to send off to the machine shop. I think all it needs is a new crank and I'll probably put new pistons in it and put it back mostly stock. The only variation from stock I want to make is covert it from a 3ott to a 700r4 trans to eventually tow a camper trailer so a 350 made more sense for towing power.

We also found a cool spot up in the mountains around Asheville that had about 20-30 c10s and I was able to score a set of buddy buckets for the truck. I'll post some pictures of the other parts I have been saving up for the build tomorrow
