Re: 67-72 Utility Bed

Cool thread. I'm glad to see interest in this topic. Just bought this '67 GMC 3500
9' stepside with tool boxes. The factory steps - very long for 9' beds, have been cut to fit the boxes.

I have never seen these before. They are pretty cool. Would make a great handyman(such as myself) truck.

Re: 67-72 Utility Bed

Here is a pic of my 70' short utility bed. I've lowered the front 3 inches and the back 2 inches since these pictures were taken. I have purchased 17 inch torque thrust rims that I plan to put on in the next month or so.

Re: 67-72 Utility Bed

The original owners daughter found some pictures of our truck when it was new. He bought it from Ocean Lea GMC on Long Island and had the boxes installed prior to delivery. He (original owner) never had the original fenders. Those were probably kept by the dealership and re-sold.

Re: 67-72 Utility Bed

I wish I had one. I would gladly pull my Longhorn Box off for that. I would get them all cleaned and spiffed up, slide in my 1958 Alaskan Camper and be set!

I love these things! If your truck is for hauling, they look like "just the thing."
