Budget Brake Build

Ok guys I have a question. I came across this link

Bolt pattern is wrong on the Camaro rotors and the 4 bolt axle flange pattern for the caliper adapter is wrong as well. Big cars (Caprice, Impala, etc.) with 12 bolt have 5 on 5 pattern and larger housing flange. But they didn't have this brake setup. You might be able to swap from an 8.5" 10 bolt truck if any have 5 lug rear discs. I know the later 6 lug trucks did.

The second link with the Impala setup should work as I noted above before reading that link.... But a real budget rear brake is just r&r the drums. They are more than sufficient for the rear with almost not weight on the back when you are hard on the brakes. Lockup and bias are more important.

Get really good performance pads and brake assist (vac or hydro) and the trucks stop good, at least a couple of times. If you are road-racing and really need the brake, then you need to spend the money that costs. The truck rotors have a lot of mass so good pads and good fluid get you 90% of the way there.
