Re: 67 C10 stepper frame off

Well here is a small update on the project although it's not much, I had to go out of town to work a few months so it pretty much put a halt to any progress. On the bright side I have a room full of parts waiting for me to return

Paint work is in progress, he currently has the front clip in the booth and should have it sprayed in a week or so with weather cooperation. Here are a few pictures of the completed bed pieces.

Re: 67 C10 stepper frame off

Engine and transmission are setting on the frame and I'm shooting to install the exhaust in the upcoming weeks if time allows.

No, I had a the block bored to 3.900 (LS1 spec) so essentially its just an iron 5.7 liter. Its got forged manley H beam rods, manley crank, and Mahle pro pistons. I plan on boosting the truck I just haven't decided between procharger or turbo.

Re: 67 C10 stepper frame off

I actually couldn't find anyone with a place big enough to do my frame locally so I used kbs systems frame coat kit. I just wire wheeled the frame before hand. It's pretty good stuff and self leveling so as long as the frame is in good shape it comes out smooth.
