Re: Any body running a fuel injected vortec in a apache
Not on a an Apache but on a '47 AD. The computer and associated electronics, relays, fuse box etc. take up a lot of real estate. In my case I built a panel and mounted the whole package behind the seat. On my '46 I mounted the CPU and fuse box under the dash and on the right side of the glove box. It's very packed and hard to access if needed on that one. The '46 is a '93 TBI unit, the '47 is a '03 Vortec injection system.

I 100% agree with fasttoys..I put my first one behind the dash and glovebox....never again..from then forward the only place for me is under or behind the seat..

Re: Any body running a fuel injected vortec in a apache
I have an older computer which I mounted under the LH side of the dash above the park brake handle. It's not water resistant like the Vortec boxes and it's slightly smaller. I using a later, water resistant computer I'd probably paint it a contrasting color from the engine compartment and mount it on the LH inner fender behind the headlight.

Thats a great idea, I put mine under the dash. Talk about 20lbs of garbage in a 5lb bag.

Running? Well, not yet.
"...in an Apache..." Uh no, mine's a '55.2 not an "Apache" (58-59) but I assume you mean any Task Force year truck: The computer will likely be under the seat or possibly behind it like Roger's.
