new tires?

86 chevy k10--- 16 inch rally rims---Right now I have 31 inch height x10.50 width bfgoodrich tires, I have a lift from my leafsprings, about 3 inch maybe 4 inch lift, the 31's kinda look small and I'm wondering how big I should go and how wide before I start to have rubbing problems? the 10.50 width is pretty close to rubbing something already..(can't think of the name of it right now)

Anyone got pics of their trucks with tires bigger then 31's that's about the same size lift as me? Run into any problems fitting bigger tires? please share!

Maybe a 33x10.50 tire? My 86 K10 has about a 3" maybe 4" suspension lift as well but also has a 3" body lift I am planning to remove. Right now it has 35x12.50 and i was planning on going to a 33x10.50 when I take the body lift off. I'm getting tired of replacing worn steering components from the bigger tires. I will be watching this thread to see what you come up with. I would definitely try and stick with a 10.50 width though.

Edit forgot to add, when I originally put 35x12.50 tires on with just the 3" or 4" lift they just barely rubbed on tight turns.

I have a 82,K-10 that I bought new.Been running 33x12.50x15 BFG's since the original tires wore out.
Mine will rub if I get the front end in a bind, but with a lift, yours' should be O.K.
Mike.

Re: new tires?

I'm running 285/75R16's on my 87 v20. I've got a slightly lifted suspension. Perfect height for me.
I've taken off the running boards, and am making bars for it.
