6 cylinder - 250
Probably another dumb question... I'm looking to service my cooling system. I have a 1971 Chevy C10 SWB with a straight six 250. Where can I find good replacement upper and lower radiator hoses? Heater core hoses? I've searched the Internet and this great forum and I am still looking. Should I go AC Delco or try and find original GM part numbers?
Thank you for any help, Jeremy |

Re: 6 cylinder - 250
I've had good luck with Gates hoses. Should be available at most good auto parts stores or Rockauto.com. Bulk heater hose of the correct size should be available at the parts house, too.

Re: 6 cylinder - 250
To me, it's all about details. The pre-bent factory OEM hoses just look right on these trucks. I'm not sure, but it would not surprise me if the the dealers still sell the correct hoses for your truck.
The hoses that really look awful are the "corrugated" ones that are meant to fit any vehicle. These old trucks are not "just any vehicle".
