Bed sills question
I have a 62 cab and bed that I'm installing on a 64 chassis and wondering do I order sills for 62 or 64, or do I need to make my own.

Re: Bed sills question
Order for a 64 but only the rear should matter.
The rear on a 60-62 is 42" and the rear on a 63-66 is 34" wide

Re: Bed sills question
If you have a mixed group of used sills, it's easy to move the frame pads. Just drill out the spot welds, and weld them back in the correct location. I did this for a couple on my 65 when I replaced all of them.

Re: Bed sills question
I would suggest Mar-K, they make them and Lmc just sells Chinese stuff imo.

Re: Bed sills question
Can i use my sills from my fleetside long bed and cut down? I might take a trip to the pamona swap meet to find some parts. Are there any sites that sell quality reproduction parts.

Re: Bed sills question
Cut down? Cut down what? There are just less sills, they're not different.

Re: Bed sills question
The OP never said if bed he is wanting to use is long bed or short OR if step or fleet ...only has said he has long fleet donor? SO it makes it hard to guess just what he is trying to do

Re: Bed sills question
Ok sorry all I just bought a 62' shortbed that doesn't have all the sills, but I have a 62' fleetside long bed with all the sills wasn't sure if those would fit. And I'm using a 64' chassis now that has been shortened.
