Re: Found a 1972 K5 CST
So .....I assume it had plain white 15x8 wheels since no hubcap option on spid and L78 tires??

Re: Found a 1972 K5 CST
15 x 8 were never offered from GM. Your K5 had 15x6 steel wheels. I believe it had painted white caps - chrome caps and wheel covers were options.

Re: Found a 1972 K5 CST
Gotcha I just saw the L78-15-8 on the spid and assumed that meant 8's. Thanks

Re: Found a 1972 K5 CST
My paint man has it ready for paint tmrw. It had a couple of dime size rust holes
In the windsheild post up high. Guess it held moisture under the weatherstrip. I loaded it up And took it to Charles Calvin in cedar mtn. Nc and he made the pieces and tig welded them in. He is absolutely THE MAN with making odd panels etc.and when hes done you can't Tell its been touched. Check out. His website ...charlescalvindesign.com |

Re: Found a 1972 K5 CST
I saw him make full quarters for a 50's Studebaker wagon. When I have rust issues I take stuff to him and it gets done and looks great.

A lot of people don't realize what a beautiful color that is when fresh and new. Really nice!
