Re: 1970 CST 10 question

That is great! Welcome! This forum is the best place for info about how to do stuff to the truck, if you want to do modifications or fix things.

The options list is called the SPID and it is a printed list of stuff on the inside of the glove box door. It gives lots of info. Also since the truck came from your Dad, he may have some original paperwork, owner manual, and stuff like that if he's the sort of guy to keep those things. Sometimes a build list will be stuffed in the seat springs or in some other nook or cranny of the truck.

There is lots of general info about the 67-72 Chevy trucks all over the internet, and in books available at bookstores and in libraries. And there are lots of vendors who sell replacement parts and accessories for this series of trucks and you can get free or low cost catalogs and they are fun to browse. Check out LMC, Brothers Trucks, Classic Industries, H&H Classic Parts. There are some vendors that participate in and support this forum and have online parts and accessories offerings, such as GMC Paul's. So hang out here with us and get to know the lay of the land.

Enjoy your truck the way it is for now, if it is in running condition, and after using it for a while you'll get some ideas of stuff you want to do with it. Some people want to keep their survivor truck exactly as it is and polish it up and make minor enhancements, and other people want to make major changes.

On this forum we like to see plenty of pictures, so please show us what you have.
