C4 cradle was integrated into stock chassis, debated doing this a couple times.

Re: 50 3100 5 window with Vette suspension
As you can see, I just cut the top and bottom of the frame. As I lowered the frame it spread the frame rails just a little bit. Just in the area that I wanted to weld the crossmember in. It was really quite simple.

Re: 50 3100 5 window with Vette suspension
So can the lower section of the c4 cradle where it bolted to the donor car be cut off to clean up the install? And still using the C4 transverse leaf spring?

Yup, Ernie is really happy with it. I did that one. It was a lot of fun, and a real learning experience.

Re: 50 3100 5 window with Vette suspension
You don't happen to have any of the measurements do you? I was just hoping to save a few hours if you did! I always double check measurements anyways but anyone with experience doing it or someone who has experience with it would be a great help to me doing mine maybe save some heart ache.

Re: 50 3100 5 window with Vette suspension
Hope I'm not bugging you too much but wondered if you had any front sheet metal alignment issues with the slight widening of the frame to accommodate the stock vette k member. By my quick measurements it only needs to widen aprox 1/4 each side or there about where itll mount..
