What spindles will fit on a 67 C10?
I want to put front disc brakes on my truck.
The truck currently has been lowered with springs. I was thinking of buying 2' dropped spindles and then buying a front disc brake set up. Until I saw the costs. I am wondering if I can buy say a 1971 2' dropped spindle and then go to a junk yard and buy a disc brake set up for a 71. Does this make sense, or am I am way off track here. Thank you. |

Lol, good point, I found out the hard way when I installed '72 spindles onto the 68, lets just say it didnt work out. Using a '78 front end now. No more uncorrectable positive camber. Good luck. ------------------ Randy 4558 posts(3-20-01) 4729 (3-31-01) 1968 LWB C-10 1972 CST 4x4 K-5 Looking for any info on the Gold 50th annvy. '68 trucks ! Why wouldn't the allignment shop be happy? If you go to a "good" shop, it shouldn't be a problem. I went to a very reputable shop here in town that's been around and family owned for over 50yrs and just told him what I had done to the truck. He had it completed in less than 30 minutes with no complaining. He said it was very easy to do.
