68-72 shortbed

I have a 68-72 shortbed for sale. The bedsides, header panel are in good honest condition. The passenger side has a bump near the taillight and marker light. The bed floor and lower wheel wells are shot. (Tailgate for sale in another post / truck not for sale).

SOLD

Re: 68-72 shortbed

Interested...

It there ANY rust through around the wheel wells or inside of the wheel well lip, and I mean, like at all? I already have a set like that...

In addition to the obvious damage, it could be lighting or the primer, but are the areas I circled dented as well?

I also have no interest in the floor or header panel, I only want the bedsides. From what I'm seeing, would you consider $350 -400 for both bedsides (I'll want to look at them in person better) and I can help remove the bolts to take the bed apart (I can bring a grinder if you have electricity close by, I took my old bed apart in about $45 minutes by myself with a grinder.). I would come this Friday or Saturday depending on schedule. I also don't mess around, if I say I'm coming, I will be there.

Thanks for the interest. I'll honestly need to take a closer look when I get back from a business trip on Wednesday. I didn't look at them closely enough to answer your questions. That said, I didn't notice any major rust around the upper edge of the fender well that attaches to the bed. Only at the floor. As for the wheel well lip on the outer bedside, I don't believe there is any rust. All that said, I'd like to take a closer look. Also, I'd rather move the whole bed so if somebody comes along between now and when I can inspect them further and wants the whole deal, I'll have to let it go to them. If that doesn't happen between now and Wednesday when I can get the answers you need, I'll consider $400 for both bedsides.

Happy to inspect them further for you.

Re: 68-72 shortbed

Sounds fair to me. I have a new header panel and rust free floor, just looking for a better set of bedside from what I have. Hopefully it works out and I'll see ya this weekend!
