bb tower ?

i have a 454 for my 72 2wd blazer and it came with a set of mid to late 70's? bb frame towers are they the same as a 72 model year or are the 72 model towers unique? if they are different does anyone have a cheap set of 72 towers for a 2wd blazer?

As I understand it the 72 BB towers are unique(2X4 only for BB no 4x4 with BB). The earlier BB towers should work but are not supposed to be as good as the 72 pieces.

The ones you have will work just fine. You will have to drill one hol in the top of the frame. The rear hole will be too far back, other than that, they are just like the 72 towers. You won't find a "cheap" set. They go for around $100 here and on ebay. I had a set like yours I was going to use until I got a BB frame that had the other towers already in it. I sold the first set for $30 or somthing. They aren't as sought after. I would use yours, just drill the new hole and be done. No need to spend more money than you have to. Your gonna need it for gas with that BB.
