Question Finally a decent deal for me

Well, in my search for a 71-72 4X4 chassis, i have found a guy (locally) that is switching his 72 swb 4X4 to a 2wd big block. He has offered to sell me the chassis, nice 4wd ralley wheels, the trans (auto) and transfer that is in the truck, another automatic/205 that he has in the shed for $500.00. The problem is that i really need a lwb frame for the swap to work for me. My 72 is already painted, and i think the truck would be a lot more practicle if it was a 4X4. Should i pass on this good deal to someone else, or buy it and try to trade someone else out of a lwb frame, or buy it and sell it? or buy it and build myself a short bed 4X4 down the line?

I just can't decide what to do, I've always gotten many new ideas from you guys.

Thanks
DAvid

Hey David, I don't know if you should be listening to me, cause Im been described as OUT OF CONTROL in the past, however I think if you can afford to buy the swb 4x4 stuff and purchase you lwb stuff then I would do that, you could always reason with yourself saying I can sell the swb and use to the proceeds to help with the lwb. Thats just my 02 cents worth.

I would buy that and then use it for trading or resell it. If it is a factory short wheel base 4x4 and has a title and a vin tag I think it should be pretty valuable. You should be able to double your money on that. Check it out real good and make sure it is not a cut down long bed frame. Good luck

Sounds like a good deal David, if it has vin and title its a real good deal., Heck sit your cab and clip on it and find a SWB bed, I think Joe has a step bed. Just a thought. Woodlands swap meet is this weekend too!!!!!!!
