Trans linkage help please

I have a 1970 c10 and am putting in a 350/700r4. Truck was a basketcase missing everything. I have the 67-72 linkage and the 73-87 linkage, either will work correct?

The part I am having trouble sourcing is the "U" shaped piece bolted to the trans. What is it called and who sells them? I havent found a used part as all the trucks I see are missing the trans and are gone already. Is there a kit with the spring and bushings too?

Pics are not my truck but for reference to parts relevant.

Re: Trans linkage help please

The U shaped part that bolts to the trans is available from LMC. Look in their catalog in the trans section. I don't know about the later model linkage.

Re: Trans linkage help please

Thanks Rodnrudy. They are not in stock though, and none of my catalogs seem to carry them. I hope to find an original then somewhere.

Re: Trans linkage help please

The Lokar linkage is a nice upgrade to the stock linkage.

Re: Trans linkage help please

I used Eckler's Part #: 61-249816-1 on my 700R4 with headers and only a slight bend.
