There has been talk here about the chrome locking hatch handle. Just thought I'd pass this along: Danchuk part #16538 I just found this, have not tried it and cannot speak for (or against) it. I'm too poor to try it. $200 I'd put the link up here but I'm a computer dummy.

The one I bought from Lowe's matched perfectly $12.00, looks very close to original and locks.

I couldn't find one for $12 at Lowes but I found this for $26 and this for $8.29 at Home Depot.

Do either of those work?

My next question would be (because I too need to fix my hatch latch) is if we need replacement latch arms for the hatch, does anyone know a good source for those?

Look on the Blazer "FS" forum. I bought the above and didn't care for the quaility and the security of the locking device. So, I'm in the process of having my handle/collar re-chromed - quote is $80.00 for that. I have a lock smith re-keying the cylinder. I'll get a price on that in the next few days. I'm looking to put less than $100.00 into this. I'll post when I have it back together and POC's for the all the services. David

I used the one from Home Depot. All you have to do is cut it to length and drill a hole for the cotter pin. Pretty simple and cheap fix.

Same with the one from Lowes. As said earlier mounting holes matched. Didn't mention but these are garage door handles.

just wondering if anyone has tried these my hatch lock is seized and cant get it apart I might have to cut it apart wondering what is my best option I am trying to keep it as original as I can

There is a picture up now but doesn't look correct for a blazer no through holes. I have 1 left that I had rechromed with keys see link below.
