WTB 292 4x4 mount
I'm looking for the pass side frame perch to mount a 292 in a 65 K10. Have the V8 version and also 2wd 292 parts I could throw in if that helps. Also, does anybody know if 67 or newer parts would work? Don't know if I should post on that forum as well. Thanks for any help

Re: WTB 292 4x4 mount
There's a 63 4wd with a 6-292 at my local wrecking yard, but it looks tough to pull the 6 rivets that holds the bracket to the frame. Hopefully someone has a spare one for you.

Do not think that looks like a 4x4 one.
Try a PM to "BLK65K10", he may have one? Les |

Re: WTB 292 4x4 mount
If you go back there anytime soon could you snap a picture or get me some contact info for the yard. Ya those rivets are a pain, it was no fun getting the V8 perch out of mine. Thanks for the help. If I don't find one on the forum it may be time for a Nor Cal road trip

Re: WTB 292 4x4 mount
I've taken them off at the junkyard. You'll need a cordless sawzall, cut the frame rails and work the rivets out later.
If you're real careful you can melt the rivet heads off with a torch and then knock them through. |

Hey Lyle do you have any 63-66 4WD Suburban/panel rear frame extensions?
