Smile Front crossmember swap

When swapping a 73-up crossmember into a 69 are the frame widths the same or do you need any type of shim to bolt it in.Thanks for any info biddaboy

The widths are the same.

There may be a diffrence or two with the way the bolt holes match up. Alot of people say to make sure you get everything from the donor to do this swap.

There are only 2 bolt's that need to be a little larger other than that direct bolt in easy 2 do.And yes take everything from the donor

And what about if you are going from a '69 leaf spring 4wd blazer to the '73 IFS front subframe? Still only the 2 holes to enlarge?
