WTB 72 BB Frame Towers
Hey all, I need a set of 72 BB frame towers. Anyone have an extra set laying around? Hopefully reasonably priced . . .

Hey Bigdaddy,
If your not stuck on the 72 frame mounts, you can get a set of 73-87 frame brackets and they will work just as well, and be much cheaper. They will need 1 new hole drilled in the top ot the frame, but that's it. I had a set I got off ebay for $30 with shipping. I sold them when I got a new frame with 72 BB mounts already in it. Just an idea since I've never seen a "resonable" set for sale anywhere. P.S. Got that cab on yet?? jmanz69 |

No I'm not stuck on having 72 mounts. I'll have to look around and see if I can find a later model set. As long as they work, it doesn't matter to me. And no, I don't have the cab on yet. Time and money issues are keepin the project slow. We're just now painting the frame and doing the suspension. That's why I need the frame towers. We're about ready to at least set the motor on the frame.

You're still ahead of me then. I have my frame done (bought it that way), but haven't finished building the engine yet. I'm putting a 327 small block on my 72 BB mounts. That way I can always upgrade. I also have 2 cabs to make one good one out of. Problem is, no welder. So, I just look at them every few days thinking how to put them together.
Good luck. jmanz69 |
