Re: 72 402 big block with 36,000 miles
sweet looking rig. i missed out on one a few years ago, less than two miles from my house. it was parked in an alley behind an old grocery store and unless you drove down the alley it was impossible to see it. it showed up on craigslist and a buddy of mine jumped on it.

WoW,
Yet another Unicorn, It's amazing that some of these were tucked away and protected. You certainly have a rare jewel. I would love to see more pictures of yours, so I can drool over it as I do mine. Mike |

Re: 72 402 big block with 36,000 miles
What are you planning on using for the engine of your 4x4 project? Your ad caught my eye because I'm needing to replace my 350 in my 4x4. That's quite the find, I'd love to have those seats along with everything to put that engine in my truck. Maybe you'll find someone to take on restoring it as is, but I've got enough projects to last the rest of my life at this point.

That looks sweet. Those that got stashed inside and not driven are true survivors. Yours looks beautiful.

69_haf,
I am going to put an LS in my project. It takes some work and patients and a few bucks, getting he wiring harness, mounts and piddly stuff, but what an end result. Worth checking into.... |

Re: 72 402 big block with 36,000 miles
Imho, this cab/chassis/camper combo is really a nice original survivor. Can't be many like this one left, especially in this condition.
I hate to see it get parted out but if you can't sell it complete, I understand you with plan B. A friend of mine bought a '66 cab chassis camper combo with 70k on the odometer, 327, turbo 400, original paint, rockers and cab corners were in great condition. All appliances worked but needed updated. Everywhere he drove this thing, it generated a lot of interest. Eventually, he sold it for his asking price, I don't think it was for sale very long at all. You have yourself a really cool original automotive recreational vehicle. Last edited by Dave; 02-08-2017 at 08:25 AM. |

Re: 72 402 big block with 36,000 miles
I'm still looking for a home for this 402, with all of the nearly impossible brackets on it. Someone has to need one

Re: 72 402 big block with 36,000 miles
It is still for sale, I just cant make myself come down on the price just to sell it. I will work with a reasonable offer, and do what I can to assist with shipping, but I'm not considering any low ball offers.
