I am looking for a nerf bar for my truck 76 4x4 but would also consider a step anyone have any pics or tales about this?

I made my own nerf bars, if you wana call them that, at work. I got them put on this past weekend but I dont have any pics with them on the truck yet. Here is a pick before they were powder coated and installed. Let me know what you think and I will get a pick of them on as soon as I can, No digital camera.

I love them do they mount on the frame? Are you planing on making more? Would love to see pics.

Yes they mount to the frame. I am planning on making a few more sets but not many. I have to get time to use my milling machine at work on my own time. I did make a set that had GMC milled into it where the bowtie is for my freind at work that welded them for me. If I knew I could make money selling them I would do it but im not sure.

Well let me know I would be very interested in a set. I really dont want to mount one of those single steps. And seems my only other option is find one close to right and modify it and I am not to keen on that idea either.

where are you located at? Ill heep it in mind about trying to get more made. Do you have a body lift on your truck? The design will need to be modified a little since I made them for a 3 inch lift. The desighn lifts the tanks up 3 inches also so they cant bee seen hanging under the cab.

I am in missouri no lift. I dont understand the tank lift question the tanks are under the bed right?

The tanks mostly run under the cab along the frame. The 20 gallon tank runs all the way to rear spring mount and the 16 gallon only goes just pass the cab under the bed. The only reason I asked was because when you put a body lift on you can see the tanks hanging down under the cab. I can make some steps that will work without the body lift, it would just take a few mods to the back bracket a little bit.
