Re: need 15 inch wheels

Don't have a set of four but I do have one I know, GM steelie, 4 nub to clear disc brakes. It has a roller tire mounted to it but will remove for shipping. Can do pics if interested, may have a second one, have to dig thru the stash of wheels. $30 per wheel plus shipping, not sure what that would be to Iowa.

Re: need 15 inch wheels

I may have just what you need. I am switching wheels this weekend to new torque thrust chrome i just purchased and have a set of 15" 5x5 rallys coming off of it. I can send pics via text- 573-406-3383, and I'm just down hwy 61 from you in Hannibal. I have a set of four, just blasted and repainted a few months back with lugnuts, caps, and beauty rings for $300. -Josh

[QUOTE=Ironhorse;7860069 GM steelie, 4 nub to clear disc brakes. [/QUOTE]

Gary, I have some wheels and had wondered why some were 3 nub an 4 nub, Is that the difference- that 3 nub wheels won't clear disc brakes?

Re: need 15 inch wheels

Chuck, I'm no expert by any means, still learning about these trucks but it is my understanding that is correct. The older 3 nub wheels were made during the drum brakes era and in 1971 when GM went to the disc brakes as standard on trucks the wheels were re-designed for the caliper clearance and were fitted with the 4 nub centers. Not sure if the back space changed, just the inner design of the back side of the wheel itself.

Re: need 15 inch wheels

i believe the 3 nub 15x8 have 4" backspace and the 4 nub 15x8 have a backspace under that which allows them to clear the disks (maybe a 3 3/4"?). im sure a fellow member can add more info.
