Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

This is a member's truck, I hope Larry "Mr Chevrolet" doesn't mind but I love the look of the wheels on his truck. It's stock-ish, yet it pops and I'd love to recreate it for my project.

Unfortunately I'm working with a 4x4 and 8 lug hubs, specifically a dana 44 front and an HO52 rear. I realize nobody makes an 8 lug rally wheel, but Dodge used something similar on their early 2000s 3/4ton trucks and vans that will work.

My question is, what options do I have for hub caps? Any ideas are appreciated, thanks.

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

You can have those Dodge wheels widened to 8" and use 88-98 chrome center caps with conversion duplex lug nuts.

Something I thought about doing is buy 8" or 10" d-hole steel wheels, paint with rallye wheel paint, and use the 88-98 center caps and beauty rings. I've done this in all black on a 4wd before, but never for the sort of factory look.

You'll have to school me in what has to be widened and why, I'll admit that I don't know much when it comes to wheel sizes.

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

Those Dodge wheels are only 6.5" wide. I used to have them on my truck but I never liked how narrow they are or how far in they sat, I've always preferred a deep dish wheel.

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

Thanks guys. So if I went with the 6.5" wheels the largest tire I could use would be a 285 correct? I'd like to go with a larger tire, so maybe the dodge wheels won't work for me.

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

A 285 would be like a balloon on a 6.5 - the chain tire shops won't install it. Good chance of an odd wear pattern.

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

I have a couple questions about the second picture in post #3 by special-K and the picture in post #4 by ho70:

Those look like the same center caps to me - Are they the same and does anybody know if they'll clear the hubs on a Dana 60 rear end?

Would be great if those center caps fit. Those would look great on some black wheels

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

I mentioned widening because the wheels you showed on the other member's truck are 8" rallyes. I figured it's that look you are after. Now it sounds like that is what you need to run the size tire you want. I ran 285/75-16s on the stock '92 K3500 wheels (6.5"), but 7-8" is best. The second picture I showed is the same type wheel I just described widened to 8" or maybe 9". You get the four vents same as the traditional OEM style from years before. Those center caps are 88-98 GM factory style. Not sure if they clear Dana60 hubs. They clear 14-bolts for sure. There is a taller one that came on duallys. There are held on by special lug nuts that have a second set of threads for plastic lugs that hold the caps on. OEM are 14mm but there are 9/16" ones made for pre-88s.

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

As far as I know the dually center caps will clear a Dana 60 while the regular caps do not

Re: Help me recreate this wheel/hub cap combo

I'd like to get my hands on some dually caps for the back and maybe the regular 3/4 ton caps for the front, as long as they basically look "uniform", just so I can have something I can leave on there without worrying about somebody rippin' 'em off. I spent way too much money on the period correct hubcaps so I hardly ever put them on.
