Re: '68 black 292 overdrive ps pb stepside not mine '68
He has an Offy intake, not an Edelbrock. [I wondered bc Edselbrock never did any L6 gear after the 235s]. Why no headers too?
Still has 3OTT. But with OD. Engine is Alpine Green, not Chevy Engine Orange. It must've been a '63 MY core block, and the rebuilder didn't know or care about the proper color for a '68. AC is rare on any 292. With power steering even rarer. Some one replaced the reliable 21 Gal in-cab tank for a vaporlock-prone 15 Gal tank, but there is that neat fuel fill door at the rear stepfender. Not purely '68-looking from the front. No 'White Face'. Although Silver on the grille would look less skunk-like. As it stands, I'd take it for a deluxe '67, by the front look. Not that that's a bad thing. Very few experts who remember what a pure '67 looked like around anymore. Overall, nice truck, and there weren't that many C/20 Longbed Stepsides built to begin with. I won't comment on the price. I saw a couple of average C/10s, C/20s on my local Craigslist today and they were both [priced to sell] just under $20K.
