Re: Project 59 Apache "1st Build"
Mike, Will this mod have any effect on closing the hood?

Re: Project 59 Apache "1st Build"
I don't think so but I was hoping to have a flip front hood. I have only seen a few 58-59 with flip front hoods but I don't think it will really make any difference unless I used the stock brackets. Even if I did use the stock brackets I could alter the top bracket to sit further back so it would not sit in that area. So far I am not worried about it.

Re: Project 59 Apache "1st Build"
After everyones comments I had to go out and take off the hood brackets and sit the hood in place to see if it would not clear. Thank god it will clear.

Finally got some daylight so I got the frame all square away and am ready to finally weld the frame up.

Re: Project 59 Apache "1st Build"
Fat Mike, I like your new toy. They make short work of cutting things. I have had mine for probably 15 years and was lost with out it when it stopped working. Luckly it was only the switch, so it was cheap to fix. Keep up the great work.

Very nice work, lots of good tips and tricks I'll be using. You have any better pictures of the recessed firewall? Hope to see more progress soon!
