Door Latch Question

Ive been searching some of the posts trying to get an answer about my door latch. Passenger side door - interior door handle works but when I pull it up to open the door, it stays up..

It will not drop back down to latch onto the truck when I close the door. I have to push the handle down to make it work. I have been living with it but I am afraid one day I will forget to push it down and my passenger (wife) wont be happy at my first hard left.

I took the panel off and sprayed some lubricant on the handle and latch but it didn't help much. Don't know if its the handle or the latch that's not letting it spring back into position.

Any help would be great, thanks

The regulator is probably busted

Zepp is correct. There is a coil return spring on the door remote control that is broken. I have tried to repair them with no luck. You will have to replace the remote control.

Re: Door Latch Question

when you say remote control are you referring to the part attached to the inside of the door where it locks to the body of the truck?
