Hey guys: I'm wanting to put a headliner back in my truck that originally had one, but it used the chrome trim. Is there a way to put the headliner up without using the chrome strip? (I'm assuming I'll have to use Liquid nails) I'm assuming that the headliner will not be big enough to cover up the holes where the trim went. What suggestions would you have to cover those up???

Also lets just see some headliner pics of what you guys have done!

I used two way tape I got at Home Depot. They have different weight strengths.

No pictures, but we used the repro chrome strips too.

Lasted through our summer here in NW, but other areas are hotter.
Glues will be a problem if you want to change directions.

Holes will be there if mouldings are left off

i had an Upholstery shop that used magnets sown in the back....worked very well....cost me $100

I used Liquid Nail and reproduction chrome strips some years back;
and it's still up there!

That's a very good idea. My oem headliner just sits in the trim, for now.

I used some tape that flooring installers use called sticky tape its a clear tape very thin and it has nylon strands in it been up in my truck for 3+ years with no problems and the moldings are still not on lol
