Truck Swap

So I have acquired a 1967 C10 Fleetside. Pretty much all there, minus drivetrain. Not looking to completely restore, just looking for something for me and my wife to cruze, on cruise nights. So with that said, I have 2 options. I have a Pontiac 389 and trans out of a 64 catalina. Or I have a complete 1991 Chevy ext cab sb. 350 TBI with rebuilt 700-R4. I guess the biggest question is. Should I just gut the 91 and use in 67? Can I use all the brakes and such. Or maybe even crazier, mount cab and bed on 91 frame. How hard is it to put Pontiac drive train in Chevy? I'm on a budget but want to make good with what I have. Any feedback would be great.

Thanx

Re: Truck Swap

The easiest and most cost effective option is to take the 350 and th700 out of the 91 and install in the 67. There may be issues with the brackets because the 67 would have come with a short water pump, and the 91 has a long water pump.
