That sounds like a great plan Keith! Paint is so expensive and then when it's done you have the stress of something happening to it. My Chevelle will be the last vehicle I spend this much money painting. Everything from here on out with be nice original paint or patina. I have zero worries/stress when I drive the C10.

Besides the expense of it is the labor and the time it takes to complete, I wasted over 2 years on my last truck trying to make sure the bodywork was perfect and then I was going to paint it myself. I could have been driving the truck and enjoying it before I had to sell it.
