1961 Driveshaft to 1986 Rear End U Joint? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

So i threw a 1986 rear end under my truck in the change over to 5 lug. Didnt realize the U Joints would be different sizes. Has anyone else ran into this issue and is there a wide to narrow U joint available to fix this issue? Any help appreciated. It seems the cups are both the same size but the newer rear end is wider(4 inches) compared to the 1961 driveshaft(3.5 inches)

They make what we called off cross U-joinnts. Sounds like you need one to go from 1310 to 1330. This page has good information on both u joints and the sizes so you can verify what you need.

I found Denny's Driveshaft has good information on ujoints to adapt driveshaft to pinion yoke.
