Newbie from Germany

Hi all!

Excuse me for my clumsy english...

My name is Martin, I'm 42 years old and live in the middle of Germany, between Frankfurt and Heidelberg and about 60mls from Ramstein. I'm working in a company for special purpose machinery manufacture, our company is a part of Lincoln Electrics.

My offroad life started in 2005 with a 1998 Jeep XJ, lifted (3.5" RE Superflex) and 31s. It's still mine and a reliable daily driver.

The week before last, I got a 1986 Ex-Army M1008. Till then the Chevy was owned by a good friend, who died early January this year. He was my dealer for all the Jeep stuff I needed.

When the truck got his first civilian plates, the color got modified in a dark blue. Joe was the 2nd owner and replaced the Diesel with a Chevy V8 454cid and the original tires with 37x12.5x17 BFG MT KO2.

Now I'm in this forum to find informations and learn more about my Chevy.
Thank's for your help and for your lenience with my rudimentary english.

Martin.

Re: Newbie from Germany

Hello,

sorry for posting late but I had flu...

Enclosed few pics of my truck, I hope it works the way I tried.
I'm not sure, I will it keep in the blue color or put it back into the Army-Style.
Anyway, there are some rusty spots I have to repair.

When the weather will be more nice (its raining since a couple of days), I will take some more pics to show the problem areas.

Thanks for your help, Martin.
